Sara Lynn Evans, born on February 5 1971, in New Franklin Missouri was raised as the oldest out of 7 siblings. When she was five, music was a constant in Sara's life. As a sixteen-year-old, she worked for two years at a nightclub located near Columbia Missouri. She moved to Nashville Tennessee in 1991 with the goal of becoming a singer-songwriter. Songwriter Harlan Howard heard Sara as she sung a demo of one of his songs Tiger By the Tail at County Q Studios and decided she was the perfect singer for his songs. RCA has signed her to a contract. Evans released her first release Three Chords and the Truth came out in 1997. Critics recognized that the album was among the many on their top ten albums for the year. Unfortunately it did not catch on with country radio that time, and no among the singles made the top 40.
